Pet Electronic Fence IP4 Waterproof 1sqkm Adjustable Boundary

This pet electronic fence provides a flexible way to contain your dog within a set outdoor area without physical fencing. Using magnetic field induction, the system creates an invisible boundary of up to one square kilometre, which you can adjust through the transmitter's sensitivity dial. The collar receiver gives a warning sound that quickens as your dog nears the boundary, followed by a brief electric shock if the warning is ignored. The receiver is waterproof to IP4, offers five correction levels, and runs for up to 500 hours on a three-hour charge. It comes with a 300m length of 1.00mm coil and supports both 1.00mm and 1.6mm coils. Compatible with several receiver models, it can also be paired with an existing transmitter and coil setup in some cases.

Features and Construction

The system is built around a transmitter that uses magnetic field induction to define an adjustable boundary. The receiver fitted to your dog's collar delivers escalating warning sounds and, if necessary, a short electric shock. Construction focuses on practical outdoor use, with a waterproof receiver and a choice of coil thicknesses.

Material and Build

The receiver is designed to be waterproof to IP4, meaning it can be submerged in water without damage. This makes it suitable for use in wet grass or rain. The supplied coil is 1.00mm thick and 300m long, and the system also supports 1.6mm coil, giving flexibility in how the boundary is laid out. A switch on the receiver helps conserve battery power and reduce interference, a detail that distinguishes it from some other receivers.

Size and Practical Fit

The adjustable boundary can cover up to one square kilometre, which is a substantial area for most domestic gardens or smallholdings. The sensitivity dial on the transmitter lets you shrink this range as needed. The receiver charges fully in three hours and provides up to 500 hours of use per charge, reducing the frequency of recharging. The 300m coil length allows for a perimeter of that length, and the option to use 1.6mm coil may suit different ground conditions.

Uses and Placement

This fence is intended for dog owners who want to contain their pet without installing a physical barrier. It can be used in gardens, on smallholdings, or in other open areas where a traditional fence is impractical or undesired. The system is designed to work with one or more dogs, depending on the chosen configuration.

Event or Professional Use

For professional dog handlers or those managing multiple dogs, the system offers five correction levels that can be adjusted to suit different temperaments. The receiver's compatibility with multiple models (023, 026, 227, 227B) means it can integrate with existing equipment. The waterproof receiver is an advantage in outdoor working environments where exposure to water is likely.

Everyday Home Use

In a domestic setting, the fence helps keep your dog within a safe area without the visual obstruction of a physical fence. The warning sound gives your dog a chance to retreat before any shock is delivered, and level 1 provides sound-only correction for training. The adjustable range means you can start with a small area and expand it as your dog learns. The 500-hour battery life means less frequent charging, which is convenient for daily use.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main benefit is the ability to define a boundary without physical construction. The system's adjustable range, multiple correction levels, and waterproof receiver add practical value. Reusability comes from the rechargeable receiver and the option to pair it with existing transmitters and coils, which can save on additional purchases.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The receiver is rechargeable, with a three-hour charge lasting up to 500 hours. This reduces the need for frequent battery replacements. The waterproof design means the receiver can be used in wet conditions without damage, and the power switch helps preserve battery when not in use. The coil is a durable component, though specific lifespan is not stated.
